Additonally, qldwater partners with numerous organisations in Queensland and Nationally through Memoranda and agreements. Key organisations and useful contacts that we work closely with include:
Water Industry Operators Association of Australia
The Water Industry Operators Association of Australia (WIOA) is a national non-for-profit association with a primary role of facilitating the collection, development and exchange of quality information between people undertaking operational roles in the water, wastewater and recycled water industries.
Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA)
The WSAA is the peak national body of large utilities of the Australian urban water industry and has offices in Melbourne and Sydney. Its 65 members provide water and wastewater services to approximately 20 million Australians and many of Australia's largest industrial and commercial enterprises. qldwater has been an associate member of WSAA for several years.
Abolished in 2014, the National Water Commission was responsible for helping to drive national water reform and advising State and Territory Governments on water issues. The website still contains useful documents.
