WSAA Workforce Development Project - Feedback Sought
Date: 29-Jun-2017

As mentioned in the previous Skills E-Flash the Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) has started a new Water Industry Workforce Development project with financial support from DEEWR.

WSAA has assembled a steering committee including qldwater to ensure national industry needs are reflected in the planning and ongoing outcomes of the project. The first meeting of the Steering Committee will take place on the 19th of June. The first order of business will be to decide on the key Water Industry roles that will form the basis of the Occupation and Competency Framework and inform an ANZSCO Code review.

In order to represent Queensland’s water industry at the meeting we would like to get some feedback on the below functions and/or occupations prior to the meeting to determine the appropriateness and relevance for the Queensland water industry.

Please provide feedback on a) whether these functions and occupations are appropriate for the Queensland Water Industry – e.g. is there overlap on some functions/occupations

b) whether there are any functions or occupations missing from the list.

To provide feedback please contact Michelle Hill on mhill@qldwater.com.au or (07) 3632 6853 by Monday 18th June.
