Lovers Walk Retains Claim to SEQ's Top Drop!
Date: 29-Jun-2017

Bundaberg Regional Council (BRC) confirmed its claim to the top drop in South East Queensland when attendees at the SEQ regional conference gave it top scores in the first semi final of the 2014 Orica Australia Best of the Best Queensland Water Taste Test.

For the second year in a row, water from Bundaberg’s Lovers Walk Scheme was selected as the best tasting tap water in the SEQ region, trumping water samples from North Burnett, Unitywater, Queensland Urban Utilities and Gympie.

The taste test is a light-hearted way to promote the hard work of local authorities in delivering quality water services to Queensland communities.  The six regional finalists will contest the grand final prize to be held at the Institute of Public Works Engineers Queensland State Conference from 8 – 10 October 2014.

Taste test regional finals will be held in Warwick on 16 May, Gladstone on 12 June, Mackay on 29 July, Mount Isa on 29 August and Innisfail on 21 August.
