Review of STP Licensing Guidelines

Review of STP Licensing Guidelines

Review of STP Licensing Guidelines
Date: 29-Jun-2017

In April this year, the environmental regulator wrote to councils to advise them of a program reviewing licensing and assessment guidelines for STPs. The aim was to seek consistency across the state and reduce red tape while maintaining environmental standards. The second draft of two discussion papers were released for industry input on Wednesday 1 August.  Comments are due to Deena Rigby, deena.rigby@ehp.qld.gov.au by 10th August. Alternatively, comments can be forwarded to Rob Fearon by 8 August  (rfearon@qldwater.com.au) to be included in a collated industry response.  If you wish to make a response but need additional time, please let us know and we will negotiate with the Department.

Both discussion papers are available in the members area of our website http://www.qldwater.com.au/ReviewDocuments - members must log in first to access these documents.

qldwater has formed an ERA 63 Expert Panel to form a coordinated industry response on reform of ERA 63 processes. For further information or to express interest in joining the group, please contact Rob - rfearon@qldwater.com.au
