COVID-19 has cramped everyone’s style but we are determined to try to run one more hybrid event before 2020 is out, and things are still looking good for the event hosted by the very flexible champs at Tablelands Regional Council on 8 October.

qldwater conferences are an informal opportunity for networking, updates on what’s impacting Queensland’s water and sewerage service providers, as well as technical presentations on a host of topics.

Thank you to our confirmed sponsors Dial Before You Dig (long-standing Water Connections Tour sponsor), and Gold sponsors Royce Water Technologies and Aquatec Maxcon. Other opportunities are still available, contact ncarragher@qldwater.com.au if you’re interested.

2. B>rown Card – Available Now!

The Brown Card, an online training course for those working on wastewater and recycled water assets, is now available at www.watertraining.com.au!

Following on from the success of the Aqua Card, the Brown Card provides an overview of the importance of, and requirements for, maintaining public health, minimising environmental harm and general workplace health and safety when working in, on or near sewerage and recycled water assets. It includes topics like regulations and standards, risks and safety, managing health risks and specific types of work tasks.

Employees of Water Skills Partners and qldwater Members have complimentary access to the course. Please email skills@qldwater.com.au to obtain your complimentary access code, then visit www.watertraining.com.au. New users need to create an account or for those who have completed the Aqua Card, you can login using your previously entered details. Non-members and contractors can access the course for $50 including GST with payment made via the watertraining site.

3. 100% membership result!

We are thrilled to announce that all qldwater members from 2020/21 have rejoined the Directorate for 2021/22. That is, 72 Core members and 10 Affiliates.
