qldwater is pleased to announce that the Queensland Water Skills Partnership is the winner of the 2021 Premier’s Industry Collaboration Training Award!
The award was announced via a virtual ceremony on Friday night, along with acknowledgement of all other state finalists and winners. You can watch a replay of the ceremony, with the Premier’s Industry Collaboration Award announced about twenty minutes into proceedings, after some entertainment, a welcome to country and an address by the Skills Minister.
Thank you to those who have already sent their congratulation. As Carlie Sargent said in accepting the award on the night, “the real thanks and congratulations go to all those who have contributed to the Skills Partnership over the past decade”.
“This award is great recognition of the strong collaboration by water industry professionals who work to ensure there are people with the right skills to deliver safe drinking water to Queenslanders and protect the local environment through the appropriate treatment of wastewater”, Carlie said.
qldwater also acknowledges the valuable support for water industry training provided by the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training and the organisations involved in training delivery across Queensland.
Special thanks to the Chair of the Water Skills Partnership, Angela Robinson of Seqwater and past Chairs, Alan Kleinschmidt and Dick Went. And of course, the Partnership wouldn’t be what it is today without the tremendous efforts of our CEO, Dave Cameron and many current and past qldwater staff.
