Applying for Funding Support

DEWS have confirmed the Queensland process for applying for funding support under the Commonwealth’s National Water Infrastructure Development Fund (NWIDF)

In summary, the process is:

Proponents fill in the Commonwealth’s Government’s application form, with reference to the accompanying Australian Government Guidelines and submit to nwidf.applications@dews.qld.gov.au

  • Applications are to be received by 14 Jan 2016
  • DEWS will forward applications to the Commonwealth by 21 Jan 2016
  • DEWS will forward commentary on project proposals to the Commonwealth (as determined by whole-of-state government working group) at a later time
  • Commonwealth will make decisions on funding and advise applicants

Details of the process and links to relevant websites, application forms and guidelines will appear on the Department of Energy and Water Supply website very shortly.

The attached document has also been prepared to explain the application process as well as provide some information on the background to the NWIDF. The information mirrors what will appear on the DEWS website. It is important that all proponents receive consistent advice as there is very limited time available to correct any misunderstandings that might arise during the process of making applications.

Any queries with regards to the NWIDF application process should be directed to either Paul Hope 07 3166 0164; paul.hope@dews.qld.gov.au  or Linda Dobe 07 3166 0132;  linda.dobe@dews.qld.gov.au
